About Pilgrims

Pilgrims Mind Body Spirit is situated in College Court, a few yards from Gloucester Cathedral (see map).

Our centre is on the route followed by pilgrims to the shrine of Edward II of England, one time patron saint of England, who was buried in the cathedral.

We have several people working here, either in the shop, at the computer, in our mail-order department, or as practitioners of holistic therapies.

Saturdays at Pilgrims

Free Tasters: Every Saturday afternoon at Pilgrims we have taster sessions (2:00 to 4:00 p.m.) so you can talk to the practitioners and try out what you fancy: astrology, holistic palmistry, shiatsu, massage, meditation and Indian head massage. You'll always find something interesting going on - and the tasters are all free.

Belinda Chaplin

Meditation Sessions: Belinda leads our meditation groups which meet at Pilgrims every Tuesday and Sunday lunchtime. 12.30 - 1.15 p.m. Informal relaxation and guided meditation with singing bowls, £3.00 - no need to book, just come along if you would like to join in. There are meditation classes on Tuesday afternoons, £10.00. Belinda also practises Indian Head Massage and Shiatsu. Treatments cost £30.00

John Thorne

Full Body Massage: John Thorne is the "new boy" and we are looking forward to working with him. He is a top-notch masseur (Eileen can vouch for that) and offers a variety of treatments. The body massage lasts 80 mins and is a standard "Esalen" treatment. The cost is £50.00 with an option for new clients of three sessions taken in a four-week period at 40 per cent discount (that's £22.50 per hour). Also: back, neck, shoulders and head, on the couch with oils, 45 mins, £35.00. John is available on Wednesdays and Fridays.

William Morris

Holistic Palm Reading: It's not often that you will come across a brilliant palmist, but our William is just that. So, if you would like to have your palm read when you visit Pilgrims, it will take about an hour and costs £25.00. Booking essential. Available Wednesday and Friday mornings and all day Saturdays.

Maggie Goodchild

Astrology: Have your astrological birth chart analysed in person with our resident astrologer. It will take about 45 minutes and costs £25.00. When you book for a reading, you will need to provide your birth date, place and time. Available Mondays and Wednesdays.

Eileen Anderton

Dominatrix and our gorgeous, pagan boss. Loves nature and recycling and makes everything run like clockwork. Magic! Seriously though, Eileen runs our MBS book club (free, drop-in discussion group, first Friday every month, 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.)

Bill Anderton

Bill is our internet wizard, keeps the website up to date and processes your orders. He also reads the I Ching and practises meditation (his excuse for sleeping on the job). Oh, yes, and he is the famous creator of The Final Score book and music project.
