2012 And Beyond: Diana Cooper~Published by Findhorn Press,
www.findhornpress.com

Fans of Diana Cooper will love her latest book and it will also satisfy those seeking information, guidance and reassurance about the much-heralded 2012 shake up and wake up. She has plenty about angels in this book too, but also covers topics such as the Olympics, crystal skulls, cosmic portals, twelve ascension chakras, Mu and Lemuria, fifth dimensional living, the weather and the economy. She makes forecasts for various places around the world and general forecasts for the period up til 2032. This is a mix of ancient prophecy and contemporary channelled information and is overall optimistic, though not without its challenges. There are visualisations to do throughout, as widespread spiritual growth is the key to riding the wave of changes ahead…(11/12/09) ~An invitation to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead. 190 pp.~2012 And Beyond|1451|~3379~6870~cooper, 2012~
Divine Realisation: Patricia Mary Finn~Published by S.O.L. Books
www.divinerealisation.co.uk

Patricia Mary Finn describes her book as a spiritual autobiography. She has done what I'm sure many of us who are on a similar journey would like to do and summarised the wisdom and teachings that have meant most to her along the way. Initially only intended as a gift for her grandchildren, she has ended up with a neat compilaiton of inspirational advice, poems and quotations. It combines religious influences as well as more general self-development skills, set within her own life story and is deliberately written in straight forward language so as to be accessible to someone starting out on their own search for meaning and spiritual connection…(08/02/10) ~One soul's journey - an autobiography of spiritual growth. 112 pp.~Divine Realisation|1451|~3379~6883~finn~
The Gentleman And The Faun: R. Ogilvie Crombie~Published by Findhorn Press,
www.findhornpress.com

This delightful little hardback book is an account of Robert Ogilvie Crombie's experiences with nature spirits and elementals, including Pan himself. Much of this will be familiar to anyone who has read about the early days of the Findhorn community, as he was closely involved with the spiritual development of the Findhorn garden. It was a plasure to read this fuller review of his background and personal encounters with assorted representatives of the nature kingdom, whose message is more timely than ever. There are many arguments for re-establishing our connections with those spirits; this is a charming but compelling shove in that direction…(08/02/10) ~Encounters with Pan and the elemental kingdom. Small format hardback. 206 pp.~Gentleman And The Faun|1451|~3379~6885~crombie, findhorn, faun~
The Great Simulator, Parts 1 & 2: David McCready~Self published
www.www.greatsimulator.com

Life is an illusion. David McCready tackles the tricky subject of the nature of reality with some refreshing originality and clear language. I was most greatful for the short paragraphs and plentiful bullet points approach! It's still jolly hard to get your head round the concept that our lives are actually complex illusions, but if you've ever half expected as much then you'll enjoy his guided tour of this alternative possibility and the implications that ensue. You'll need to be prepared to do the exercises as well as having your core beliefs challenged, however, it is a friendly, gentle and humorous process with untold benefits…(29/10/09) ~Your practical guide to recognising the amazing illusion you are experiencing. 304 pp.~Great Simulator|1451|~3379~6655~mccready, simulator~
The High Heeled Guide to Enlighenment: Alice Grist~Published by O Books,
www.o-books.net

Clearly aimed at a young generation, this is a well written beginner's guide to various components of New Age spirituality and is light hearted but not trivial. Alice Grist charts her own experiences, ups and downs, as she explores ways of adding a spiritual dimension to a modern young woman's life. She gives basic explanations of such topics as reincarnation, Buddhism, spirtualism, kabbalah, reiki, wicca and shamanism, plus more. Reading this book is like taking advice from a good friend who has done it themselves and is keen to help… (08/02/10) ~Brings an understanding of alternative spirituality to a new audience, shining a pink and intelligent spotlight upon a diverse collection of options. 308 pp.~High Heeled Guide To Enlightenment|1451|~3379~6887~grist, high heeled, enlightenment~
Joya - Crystal Massage for Everyone: Michael Gienger and Ulrich Metz~Published by Findhorn Press,
www.findhornpress.com

This is a neat little book, co-written by Michael Gienger, who already has a book out on crystals used for massage and Ulrich Metz, who has developed a tool (Joya) to facilitate this. You do need to own this tool to make use of this well-illustrated manual. It is a palm-sized disc of wood or mineral, in which a crystal sphere can be set and allowed to rotate freely as the posint of massage contact. It certainly looks pleasing and promising - check out www.joya.eu first. If you're tempted to buy the kit, then the book will guide you on techniques and crystal choices for either self-massage or massaging others…(29/10/09) ~Using the Joya massage roller as a tool for massage. Colour illustrations throughout. Small format. 140 pp~Joya|1451|~3379~6657~joya, massage~
Manifesting with Crystals: Marina Costelloe~Published by Findhorn Press,
www.findhornpress.com

This short book describes the ways crystals can be used to make positive changes more likely to happen in areas such as love, career, health and wealth. There are tables of correspondences and what the author calls "crystal recipes". These include chosing crystals, affirmations and mantras, letters of intention and other supportive ritual activities. Much of this guidance and information is already available elsewhere, but if you have a good crystal directory already and want more guidance on use, this this would be a suitable companion…(29/10/09) ~Shows you how to use crystals to crate the live you deserve. Use the crystal manifesting recipes to help you visualize and manifest your new reality and move forward with confidence. 74 pp~Manifesting With Crystals|1451|~3379~6656~crystals, manifesting, Costelloe~
Old Gods, New Druids: Robin Herne~Published by O Books,
www.o-books.net

Written from the experience and perspective of an East Anglian Druid group, this has a lot to offer others following a spiritual path based on the old gods of the British Isles. It is well researched without being dry and just as importantly the topics riased are well debated without being preachy. There's a lot of information, but Robin Herne's approach is refreshingly open minded and the questions he poses are every bit as useful as the facts and figures. This is a clearly reasoned guide to creating a druidic lifestyle made drelevant for the 21st century by understanding the reasons why things were done, rather than slavishly following what was thought to have been done. This is a highly recommended read for anyone interested in our ancient forebears and what they might offer us now… (08/02/10) ~Offers a series of twenty humorous and informative lessons that can be used for group or solitary study. 246 pp.~Old Gods New Druids|1451|~3379~6884~herne, druids~
Secrets of Spiritual Marketing: Lawrence Ellyard~Published by O Books,
www.o-books.net

This is a guide book for complementary therapists who are setting up or expanding their business. The emphasis is on marketing rather than spirituality, a useful perspective for new practitioners to consider. Lawrence Ellyard is based in Australia and so there is a slight antipodean bias, but this shouldn't put you off as most of the information and all of the advice is internationally applicable. He covers topics such as starting a practice, what to charge, handling enquiries, advertising, marketing, setting up a website, copywriting and networking, etc. All in all, the price of this book is likely to be more than recouped by anyone new to the world of business… (11/12/09) ~A complete guide for natural therapists to making money doing what they love. 172 pp.~Secrets of Spiritual Marketing|1451|~3379~6868~Ellyard, marketing~
Sounding The Mind Of God: Lyz Cooper~Published by O Books,
www.o-books.net

I have not read about this subject in depth before and so really appreciated Lyz Cooper's well-written, informative introduction to the subject. The first part of the book explores the vibrational nature of energy and matter and the value of sound within this spectrum. By understanding sympathic resonance and entrainment, sound can be seen as a tool for fine tuning our bodies. The second part gives exercises and information on exactly how to do this, using breathing and visualisations as well as singing bowls and drums, but most of all ones own voice. Whilst being musical will be a help in understanding this, it is by no means essential. It is an excellent book for anyone working with chakras… (11/12/09) ~Therapeutic sound for self-healing and transformation. 196 pp.~Sounding The Mind Of God|1451|~3379~6869~cooper, sound~
Spheres of an Unseen World: Sandrea Mosses~Published by Black Leaf Publishing,
www.blackleafpublishing.com

Sandrea Mosses is a busy health worker and spiritualist medium, who shares here her own story of psychic development. The account of her experiences will fascinate the merely curious, comfort the bereaved and inspire those setting out on their own journeys of spiritual exploration. She offers numerous examples of communication with departed souls and uses these to illustrate valuable life lessons. She also gives a medium's view of the job and the training involved and day-to-day responsibilities within the spiritualist church. Packed with testimony of an afterlife, this will be enjoyed by many readers on many levels…(29/10/09) ~Want to know more about the Spiritual world? This book is designed to take you on an uplifting and enlightening journey into that world. 164 pp~Spheres of an Unseen World|1451|~3379~6653~Mosses, spiritualism~
A Whisper From An Angel: Christine Holohan with Vera McHugh~Published by Maverick House Publishers,
www.maverickhouse.com

What sets this book, about the life and work of psychic medium, Christine Holohan, apart from others in the genre is one particular case. This account was previously published three years ago as A Voice From The Grave, the voice in question being that of murder victim, Jacqui Pool. She was able to communicate a wealth of insider knowledge of the details of her murder and murderer to Christine and whilst this evidence was not admissable at the time, it was sufficiently impressive to be taken seriously by the police. Nearly twenty years later, the DNA evidence finally became availbale to convict the killer indentified by the victim via Christine. This remarkable story is set amidst that of Christine's own life coping with the burdens as well as the blessings of her gift...(08/02/10) ~How the author became a bridge between heaven and earth. 208 pp.~Whisper From An Angel|1451|~3379~6886~holohan, whisper~
Your Body - Gateway to the Divine: Josephine Chia~Published by O Books,
www.o-books.net

Josephine Chia has written previously about yoga postures and a few are described here, however, this is a much broader look at the part the body plays in achieving a sense of spiritual connectedness. There are seven good chapters on the chakras and the fundamental importance of correct breathing techniques. Josephine is also informative on sound and mantras and although she gives Sanskrit names throughout, she also explains them better than many other books that pass my way. In fact, she is also liberal in her use of analogies to explain some of the more esoteric concepts, which I found useful, particularly in regard to the various energy bodies. Whilst coming from a yoga perspective, it offers a lot of interest whether or not you do yoga, giving anyone the tools to improve their mind-body-spirit health… (11/12/09) ~This is a refreshing new approach to the development of our spiritual lives and illustrates how people of all faiths and cultures can gain a greater sense and realisation of the divine. 198 pp.~Your Body Gateway to the Divine|1451|~3379~6867~chia~
